Menko cards are a little known gem in the history of Nintendo. They were only released in Japan. Only a few realize that Mario's history began long before the release of the NES in 1985. Were there Mario cards before 1985? You bet. This site will focus on the rare pre 1985 Mario menko cards as well as other popular Nintendo menkos through the 1980's. We will also list other rare vintage Mario cards and their historical significance.
About Me
I've been collecting Mario Menko cards for years. When everyone else was collecting games & other gaming memorabilia, I was collecting Menko cards. I grew up with Atari & the NES, so I have a passion for vintage video games. I have to say, vintage Mario is my all time favorite. Its been my goal to find the early Mario cards, in a since, Mario's rookie cards. That's when I found Japanese menko cards. Certain ones are difficult to find, even in Japan. Especially in good condition. Over time I have found many rare Mario cards, some of which most people don't even know exist. I am happy to share what I have found, as well as learning more from people like you.
